Lessons by Kamryn Brindley
Classes are taught Monday through Thursday (unless otherwise noted) beginning in June and finishing up mid-August. There is a two-week minimum to begin, with eight weeks to choose from. Lessons are for those children 3 years and older.
The following is what is taught at each level:
Beginning I: Blowing bubbles with nose, immersing the head, correct placement of arms and legs during the front and back crawl. This class is for the first time swimmer.
Beginning II: This class is for a child who is comfortable in the water but still not swimming on his own.
Intermediate: Correct placement of arms and legs during the front and back crawl, introducing elementary backstroke with correct placement and diving.
Advanced: Should know front and back crawl and elementary backstroke, introduce sidestroke and breaststroke, diving, and treading water.
