Lessons by Kamryn Brindley

Summer is right around the corner and it is time to prepare your children to be safe in the water. I am Amy Brindley and I have taught swim safety for the past 24 years. I am happy to announce that my daughter, Kamryn, will be teaching your children this summer!  I will be helping her in the pool a bit as we make this transition. She is wonderful with children and is fully capable of teaching your kids to be safe in the water. We specialize in small group lessons taught at a residential pool in East Millcreek (a suburb of Salt Lake City, Utah).

Classes are taught Monday through Thursday (unless otherwise noted) beginning in June and finishing up mid-August. There is a two-week minimum to begin, with eight weeks to choose from.  Lessons are for those children 3 years and older.

The following is what is taught at each level:

Beginning I: Blowing bubbles with nose, immersing the head, correct placement of arms and legs during the front and back crawl. This class is for the first time swimmer.

Beginning II: This class is for a child who is comfortable in the water but still not swimming on his own
.

Intermediate: Correct placement of arms and legs during the front and back crawl, introducing elementary backstroke with correct placement and diving.

Advanced: Should know front and back crawl and elementary backstroke, introduce sidestroke and breaststroke, diving, and treading water.
